MAKE SLIME gak goo ooblekk #2

Posted by Unknown at 10:04 PM 0 comments
Here is another (CaRPET FRiENDLY) way of making SliME GAK GOO OOBLEKK.
Hehe its just cornstarch and water with a bit of food coloring. It has a different texture than the glue slime. Its powdery and soft on the hands PLUS it has a cool scientific explaination behind it ... " This type of slime is made up of long chains of atoms - a polymer. These chains can move past each other, but they take some time to do this. If you pour it slowly, it can flow like a liquid. If you try to force things and make the chains slide more quickly than they want to, they get entangled - and the mixture gets firmer. So if you push hard on it, it acts more like a solid."

It is FUN to make and play with.

Posted by Unknown at 10:01 AM 0 comments
Well I really enjoyed a pair of Old Navy slip on shoes. They were blue, casual, comfy, and went with my everyday summer attire. So I decided I wanted a black pair & when I went back to the store to get another pair they only had white left in my size. White was also on sale so I decided i was going to DYE them and make them one of a kind. So this is a tutorial of  the easiest way to dye a pair of white shoes. I also decided that I wanted to make my shoes sparkley! It was SOOOOO easy and I LOVE THEM....

Decorate Ceramic Mugs with SHARPIES/ Permanent markers

Posted by Unknown at 6:58 PM 2 comments

So if you are looking for a project to keep the kids busy, or something nice and cool they can do to make for a teacher, mother's day, or fathers day....THEN this project is PERFECT.
Ceramic mugs used to be the old "cant do anything to this stupid mug, ughhh throwing it out." Or maybe it was "I am not spending $25 on ceramic markers so you can color on this mug"

WELL now you can use sharpie markers AKA permanent markers!!!
Get a blank ceramic cup, color/draw with these markers, and then bake in the oven.
I baked my cups at 425 for 30 minutes. Then I let them cool in the oven for fear of them cracking in my cold kitchen. Check out the video and have FUN!

Tissue Paper Flowers! Napkin flowers! EASY but pretty!

Posted by Unknown at 3:49 PM 0 comments

Tissue paper flowers are an easy and simple craft that anyone can do to add flair to a gift, bouquet, or spring craft! All it takes is a few steps using simple craft supplies. Most people use tissue paper to make the flowers, but I like to use paper napkins because they have an extra "fluffiness" that tissue cannot produce. I've used these flowers for Fourth of July centerpieces, mothers day gifts, and valentines day accents. Takes about 3 minutes to make each one if you use a die cut machine to create the shape. Take a look at the video below to make these awesome flowers!

Plain Jar INTO Stylish Jar

Posted by Unknown at 7:36 PM 0 comments
Crafting jars are a great crafting tool. They can be used for so many activities. For instance, yesterday I created a "time out jar". I filled the jar with glitter, kero syrup, vegitable oil and water. Students who misbehaved must shake the jar. Once all the glitter and sequence settled, only then can they return to play. It was pretty neat!

Today I have an awesome organizational craft using craft jars. Its simple, cheap, and can be customized to your room, color scheme, or favorite scrapbook prints!
You need:1 Craft Jar with lid
Scrapbook paper
Scissors
Ribbon
Optional : Hot Glue Gun
Check out the Video!

Cool Silhouette Art

Posted by Unknown at 9:56 PM 0 comments
While experimenting with construction paper crayons (which are my all time favorite crayons, because they are SO COOL) I came across an idea! Most of the children who are in my art club are children who LOVE to dance. So I decided we would do some awesome silhouette art using silhouettes of dancers!
Heres what I came up with:

Ah it is SO PRETTY! Plus you can use any kind of silhouette including a home photograph!  Kids can have their own fun using silhouettes of baseball, soccer, dance, random jumping pictures, animals, and favorite shapes!
You can even use paint, glitter, or other various craft tools! Below is an example of paint and glitter glue!

Oooo Paint and Glitter Glue O.O so pretty.

SAVE THE CRAYONS! DIY Microwave Crayons

Posted by Unknown at 7:38 AM 2 comments
I hated throwing out the poor crayons that have been left at the bottom of the bucket. You know, the sad broken, chipped, and speckled ones? I always felt like it was a waste. You buy a pack of crayons to only use 1/3 of them? WASTE OF CREATIVE TOOLS.

Well now you can save your broken crayons to make BIGGER excitng new shaped crayons! All you need is a microwave, a SILICONE mold, and the crayons. Its a great project to do with the kids. At my job, I made these crayons carefully with a small group of kids and they went nuts for it! They had so much fun breaking up the crayons into smaller pieces, making awesome color schemes, and the best part was watching it melt in the microwave.

Check out my video!
Much love,
